Our trip to the Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre was wicked! We got to hang out with a whole bunch of owls, like those cool typical ones. They were so cute and some even flew to us, like we were their long-lost BFFs! The place had these rad tussocky fields, perfect for chillaxing and exploring nature. And the rivers, dude, they were so refreshing! We had a blast, no doubt!
If I have to nitpick, I'd say it would've been even more epic if they had some gnarly party vibes for young peeps like us. Like a sick DJ or a cool outdoor hangout area.

We got to see the coolest family of owls ever! These owls were like straight out of a Harry Potter movie, flying around and being all majestic. The place itself was dope too, with these sick tussocky fields and hedgerows where we could chill and take some epic Insta-worthy pics. And the rivers? Man, they were perfect for some wild water adventures. it was an amazing experience that made us feel like we were in a whole other world.
If there's one thing we would've loved to have at Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre, it would've been some killer nighttime activities for young party animals like us. Don't get us wrong, the place was rad during the day, but we were craving some lit parties or events to keep the party going after sunset.

As a senior woman, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre. The decor of the hotel was charming and rustic, with its listed building features and quirky character. The general areas were cozy and inviting, especially the lounge with the wood burning stove where I could relax and unwind. Additionally, the hotel was easily accessible for senior guests like myself, with no issues navigating the premises.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there. Having someone available to help with luggage or offer assistance when needed would have made the vacation even more enjoyable for senior guests like me.

The lunch at this hidden gem was a delightful surprise. The ham sandwich was made with real, delicious ham and served on fresh and tasty bread. The garden setting was lovely, with lots of hidden corners and shade to enjoy. The staff were friendly and remained calm even when busy. The bonus entertainment provided by the birds in the garden was a pleasant addition to the overall experience.
On arrival, we were told we couldn't be shown to our room because the lady had to attend to the horses. The note pinned on the front door instructing guests to call on their mobiles instead of being let in was unwelcoming.

Stayed over Christmas. We had a lovely time surrounded by beautiful countryside and cute animals. Enjoyed the alpaca walk and the morning owl display. , breakfast was very tasty. The location was great, close to a pretty village and the coast. Plus, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
the walls were quite thin and we could hear noise from other guests. However, overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

Fantastic Setting & Bird Experience. the countryside surrounding the hotel was stunning and made the perfect backdrop for the hotel. the birds of prey were amazing to see and were clearly cared for well. the barn in which the bird demonstration took place was well-organised and offered useful information.
Poor Service & Food. the staff were very unwelcoming and rude, which really ruined what could have been a fantastic trip.

We recently stayed at the Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre for a weekend break and had a fantastic time. The check-in process was smooth and the owners were very helpful in explaining the heating schedule. Our family room was spacious and even had a separate shower room. The lounge downstairs with the wood burning stove was a great place to relax. The shower had ample hot water and good water pressure, and the beds were comfortable. We felt warm and cozy throughout our stay. The owners were incredibly friendly and made sure we had a relaxing experience. We appreciated the freedom to come and go as we pleased. The breakfast options were delicious, with a choice of cereals, yogurt, fruit, and a cooked breakfast. The tea room also served mouthwatering plowmans, baguettes, cream teas, and cakes. We loved watching the bird displays and had a great time riding horses over Exmoor. The character of the listed building added to the charm, and we felt safe and secure throughout our stay. Plus, they are very dog-friendly, even at breakfast!

the owner was very accommodating and went out of their way to find a room with hardwood floors instead of carpet, as I have asthma. It was also great that the place was dog-friendly. the farmhouse room was lovely, with a separate bathroom overlooking the stables. the breakfast provided was delicious, with fresh ingredients including eggs from their own free-ranging chickens. the whole ambience of the place was fantastic, creating a sense of calm and tranquility. I particularly enjoyed relaxing in the lounge in front of the log burner. the bedroom was spacious and comfortable, and the surrounding countryside and coast walks were right on the doorstep. I definitely recommend Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre Bed & Breakfast. Cons: Not one thing 🙌.
